UniverCity’s latest project, Nest by Mosaic had its official unveiling today. They kicked off with a Realtor Event, an open house of sorts so that Realtors get a sneak peak of what is on offer and can introduce the project to the clients. I know I for one will be calling a few!
From the initial price-range sheet it seems that Mosaic and MAC Marketing have decided to price the Nest condos rather sharply. With one bedroom, 515 sqft units starting at $219,900, the cost per sqft with full HST works out to be approximately $478.00. This is a pretty good value considering similar resale properties are hovering around the same price.
The choice in show-home layouts, I felt was very good. On-hand is a 2 bedroom unit with a “work center” (this is really just a very small nook for a computer desk, nonetheless a place to work has been considered in the layout). The finishing seems to be on the higher-end and will include wood, stone, stainless steel, glass, porcelain and more. Environmental aspects abound. Energy Star appliances, water conserving fixtures, low VOC paints & adhesives, recycled materials, drought tolerate landscaping to name just a few.
The event today was well attended and I overheard a number of positive comments.
I think it was excellent that Jonathan Tinney, Director of Community Development was on hand to talk about the development and the area. He offered excellent insight into the efforts that SFU Community Trust has and will be going through to ensure UniverCity is not just a collection of condos but is a full community.
Welcome Nest!
